Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven’t been up to date with blogging recently!! It has taken me a while to come down after the glitz and glam of the Equine Elite. What a wonderful experience it was!!! I was in Holland for eight weeks in total. Producing the horses and showing them to clients. The horses ranged from recently backed 3 year olds to Grand Prix horses so there as a huge variety of horses to try. It was also great for me to ride such a group of horses each day. Having never done anything like this before the EE Team were so helpful in filling both Rachel and I in on how things were done. Being the 7th edition it went so smoothly – I still can’t believe that just two weeks before the auction the arena is a normal indoor school, then almost overnight it becomes the auction hall with stages, lights, sound, tables, bars, and central heating!!!! The auction itself was a great success –the evening flew buy! The horses I rode were beautifully behaved, it is quite some atmosphere for them to go into, but all of them handled it brilliantly and have gone to some very excited new owners and riders!! Then of course there was the PARTY!!!!!
Luckily we had 24hours to recover before the 50 horses arrived for the Young Stars Auction which was held the following Saturday!! All hands on deck as the young colts arrived for preparation. Luckily I managed to escape back to England to get ready for Scottish week - Was getting worried they might ask me to run with the stallions!!! (I was gutted however to miss the show!!)
Both Rachel and I had such a wonderful time, Thanks to Craig, Kebie and all the team for such a great trip!!!
