JUSTINE SOLE BHSI

I started riding at the age of 5 and became hooked straight away.
This led to being bought my first pony who taught me the art of staying on!
Then my second pony Gransden Ben came along and with him my competitive career started. We enjoyed all pony club activities.
I was a member of the Cambridgeshire Pony Club dressage and showjumping team 1986 – 1988.
The team enjoyed various successes including 2nd at Hickstead and 3rd at The Pony Club Championships at Weston Park.
It was during this time that I had my first big win, The Badminton Horse Feeds Novice Championships at Hickstead in 1987.

On leaving school I went to train at The Talland School of Equitation. It was here I discovered my love of teaching. I enjoy teaching all ages and abilities. it gives me immense pleasure to see my pupils achieve their goals and dreams, be it career students taking exams, competitive riders improving their results or riders who just want to enjoy riding.
In my time at Talland I had the opportunity to ride and compete a variety of dressage horses, ranging from youngsters through to Grand Prix schoolmasters. I have trained three of my own horses from Novice through to Inter 1 or further, including my current horse Koning (Alfie) who I have trained from a 4 year old: he made his Grand Prix debut in 2014.
I trained and studied at Talland for 22 years and became a BHSI in 2002. I held the position of Senior Instructor until May 2011.
I moved to AM dressage as I wanted a change and to develop my teaching as a freelance instructor.
